Learn More

  • Who is Grace For The Wounded?

GFTW is a multi-cultural, multi-faith-based community.

  • What do you do?

Weekly, GFTW gathers members of different cultures into a level of trust and safety to truthfully share the difficulties created by racism in America. GFTW encourages individual growth by supplying therapy and education. GFTW also encourages accessing solutions for practical and everyday struggles through aid and planning. Also, once a month GFTW helps to
feed Nashville’s homeless population.

  • Is GFTW a church or a cult?

No. GFTW is neither a church nor a cult. We are a recognized 501-c-3 charity with a Board of Directors, some of which are pastors of churches in Nashville. We do recognize the value of
faith and grace.

  • Does GFTW lend money?

No. GFTW is not a bank, and we do not make loans. If a practical dilemma needs a financial solution and we have funds toward that solution, and a committee from the Board of
Directors agrees, we can give funds to cover some dilemmas.

  • What is the philosophy of Grace for the Wounded?

We believe that gentle, truthful, practical caring helps people of all cultures to truly engage with each other so that we see the humanity and common ground we share as equal children by the same Creator.

Tuning Forks - Grace For The Wounded

Each tuning fork has an authentic sound (voice). Each person has an authentic voice (sound). Being heard — having a sense of someone sincerely listening — opens pathways to being understood, which can lead to reparation, restoration, resolution and healing that resonates. Resonating voices lead to harmony.

Testimony from a Member:

"At 51 years old, as an African American woman and a first-generation high school and college graduate, my journey has been marked by resilience and perseverance. Raised by a single mom battling alcoholism, and as a survivor of both childhood and adult abuse, I faced deep emotional scars. Grace For The Wounded became the haven I desperately needed, offering a space for my pain to be transformed into strength. The support from Dr. Max Haskett and the leaders here has been life-saving. Not only have they helped me reclaim my voice, but they’ve also aided in saving my new marriage and fostering healthier relationships within my family and professional life. I’m profoundly grateful for the impact GFTW has had on my life, and I am honored to be part of such an extraordinary community.”

Your generosity will allow us to continue our mission of standing in the gap to support those in need in our communities. Join us in creating a lasting impact today!
